Autographs and premium 1/1s are where a Tom Brady collection goes from great to legendary. Because authentic Brady signatures are scarce relative to demand — and heavily counterfeited — this is the category where buying certified and graded matters most.

- 2000 Playoff Contenders Rookie Ticket Auto — card #144. - Panini National Treasures — the modern flagship for veteran on-card autographs and prime game-worn patches. Every base card is serial-numbered /99 off a roughly 100-card checklist, with a parallel ladder typically running /75 → /49 → /25 → /10 → /5 → a Platinum 1/1 above it. The lane most Brady guides miss: he signs for Topps now
Brady spent his entire playing career as a Panini signer, because Panini held the exclusive NFL licence from 2016 through the 2025 season. He retired after the 2022 season — and then Topps started printing football again and signed him. These are all verifiable on published checklists, unlike most of his Panini veteran autographs:

Two things follow. First, a certified Topps Brady autograph is a real card — do not dismiss one as a fake on brand alone, which is the mistake the Panini-only era trained collectors into. Second, check the licence before you pay a licensed price: the 2023 and 2024 Topps signatures are unlicensed issues with airbrushed uniforms and no Patriots or Buccaneers marks, while the 2025 Chrome and 2026 Flagship signatures carry full NFL marks. They are different cards at different prices.

Exact per-card serial numbers on any given copy — and current asking/sold prices — still move card to card and year to year, so the live eBay listings above remain the way to confirm exactly what’s on the market and how each individual copy is numbered. A caveat on his Panini-era signatures: the free published checklists reachable from here begin with the 2023 editions, by which point Brady had retired and dropped off them. Buy smart on autographs
